As a UK reader I get annoyed every month that I cannot access the subscribers content.
I buy Model Railroader every month from my local W.H.Smith news stand and can't see the point of having to have the mag sent by post all the way from USA by subscription when it is available at my local shop.

Although I am 59, I am working on my first layout. The background is a challenge, as I must have a mobile layout. I am building it on a Harbor Freight mobile toll cart!!!!

I enjoy the ModelRailroader magazine I get Monthly. I am always looking for DCC articles since I Incorporated half of my layout in DCC. Everytime you have something on DCC I get disappointed because there is not enough explanation or detail on the "HOW" to wire which wire to "WHAT" . I wished there was more explanation and detail. I also enjoy watching some of the videos.

I would like to see about getting a backdrop that will work with a 4 x 8 layout, but one that I don't actually have to attach to the layout or paint on a wall. That way, when I move, I can use the backdrop to take pictures of my layout without having the other things in my place visible. I'm also a graphic artist and web designer, so if need be, I could Photoshop the background in. But having a backdrop, whether I create it myself, or it comes pre-created, would really enhance my layout. I just want it to be portable and not attached to the layout itself.

Interesting article on backdrop painting. I am planning to use airbrushing on clouds and distant treelines. The clouds especially will be better blended and more "cloud-like" in appearance from any distance

I had to let my subscription lapse in October as I've been unemployed since March, but I still love stopping in to see what's new! I've been a subscriber for many years but I have to say the online material and extras are some of my favorite features. I'll be re-subscribing as soon as I get back to work!

As usual, you guys hit the hot buttons. My four track Pennsy mainline is 75% laid, Andy's feeder lines all waiting to be joined with suitcase connectors - and here I am in Australia wishing I had my December issue with the DCC trouble-shooting article.
But I can see some of the December issue on the website. Thanks for bringing home a little closer.
